I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm a liberal, very much a liberal. It's stated first for the very reason that it pretty much sums me up. I'm extremely passionate, compassionate, educated, optimistic and open-minded. I love the environment, human rights, equality, diplomacy, democracy. I believe that if we concentrated on what we all have in common instead of what makes us different, the world could be a peaceful place. We have more in common than we have that separates us. I'm also a feminist. That might scare some of you, but I'm sure that's only because of the terrible inaccurate stereotypes; I don't burn bras, or hate men. By feminist, I mean that I want to be respected for my intellect and want equal treatment throughout society. I'm 22 years old and I go to the University of Oregon. I love learning, but I'm super burnt out. I'm almost done with school, but the closer I get, the more uncertain I am with what to do with my life. All I know is that I want to do something that makes a difference in this world and for individual people. For now, though, all I want to do is see the world. If you know of any great places that I should go, let me know!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I would love to meet anyone that has made a difference in this world, or that wants to. Some of the main people would have to be Nelson Mandela, Mother Theresa, Oprah, Barack Obama, and Ghandi. I guess Angelina Jolie and George Clooney should be mentioned as well. They use their fame in order to promote knowledge and change. Today I add Cindy Sheehan to the list. She's taking some time off in order to be with friends and family. Thank you Cindy, for your strength.
