About Me


Lucas Schlicher (Roermond 1979), musician, singer-songwriter, artist.
Founder and singer/songwriter for Dutch indie-rock band *SOFA*, as well as a member of noise/art collective AMERIKAN TEENAGER and front man of acoustic collective YOU, ME AND OTHER PEOPLE.
My work and voice have been used in TV commercials (Danerolles, Pickwick Tea), short films (Don Yang 60, Hardcore, Recap Man) and in upcoming documentary 'Mijn Enschede' (2010).
Recently I have been selected by Muzieklab Brabant to enter their one-year programme "VERS". This programme aides young artists to expand and build their professional network and career through a subsidized project. With their supervision I am going to produce and score an audiovisual theater production. This project is still in a constructional phase and I will post my progress over the next year as it develops. Meanwhile there are ongoing projects and performances with AMERIKAN TEENAGER and my own performances, either solo or joined by my bandmates from YMAOP.
