It was 1995 when SHARON NEXT was founded by Michael Ruin und Helmut Prixs in a club in Vienna. Both were playing in different bands. It was their destiny to come together. Ruin und Prixs are making music because of the same reasons, both love bands such as "Joy Division", "The Smiths", "The Cure" and electronic music in general. A week later they started together, as Sharon Next. In 1996 the sampler "Armatage Shank" came out. Sharon Next contributed three songs. One year later, Carlos Peron, artist and und ex-member of the band "Yello" listened to a tape of Sharon Next and was amazed. The result: Recordings at Fort Vox Studios in Basel. Accompanied by Carlos Peron, his friends Lex Pure und Merlin Monroe they produced the debutalbum. Then Sharon Next played concerts with "l'ame Immortelle", "VNV-Nation" and "Crüxshadows", and many more. The EP "The Forgotten Track", with rare tracks and new versions of allready pubilished ones followed. In 2001 Anton Ritter joined the band.
