I'm a history buff and student who sometimes feels 99 year-old (though I am far, far younger chronologically). I am sometimes characterized as laid back and gregarious, by my friends and family, but don't let that first impression fool you into believing that it is all that I am. I would label myself a thoughtful observer, since I like watching people interact with one another and the environment they place themselves in.
Asking questions and learning how people make decisions peaks my interest because sometimes it can be a catalyst for a better future--or a detour on a back road. Other than looking towards history as an "already charted decision tree" of sorts, I like the subject, as it can be used as a tool to predict or validate what is on the horizon or what is taking place.
Why is this important, you ask? Because, that is how you know or measure how far you've grown, and how far you still have to travel.
As for myself, I love to be surrounded by engaging individuals who have a positive, forward thinking view of life, and who live by doing and learning--even if it means making mistakes. I try to be true to that outlook as well. To be non-judgmental, straight forward, and caring, despite the ex-fraternity guy tendencies, can be fun, entertaining, and positive. If you get to know me, you'll forget that I love wearing ball caps, like micro-brews and red wine, or that I'm known to tease my friends when they get a bit too smug--or contribute to an increase in their carbon footprint--we only have one planet after all.
The absolute minimum that you should know about me is that the promise of laughter drives me everyday. And, yes, I'm a morning person.
Hopefully, from all of the above, you got that I'm curious, extroverted, funny, alert, relaxed, serious, caring, as well as a sinner and a saint all at the same time.
