Black Water Revival

About Me

A man named Trigger Finger once wandered this way. He needed a job that would earn him a pay. He found a small church, he was clothed, he was fed. He was givin a job digging graves for the dead. Now this lowly grave digger napped by a tree, with his shovle in hand, and his gloves on his knee. Though the spring day around him was lovely and bright, He had visions of demons who slay men by night. He woke with a scream, and who did he see, as he lay by the roots of that twisted oak tree? It was father St. Michaels in his black holy cloak. He looked down on Red who still lay by the oak. He said "Son for I know why you scream, for I to have been shown these nightmarish dreams". His breath and his clothes smelled of alcohol stink. He paused as he finished the last of his drink. The grave digger swore he would follow the priest, and together they prayed they could slaughter the beast. Under a big top, clear across town, side show freaks, and hard drinking clowns, played poker all night, as they swilled thier cheap gin. The buy in, salvation, the jackpot was sin. The sword swollowing showman's hand couldn't be beat. Exept by Mr. Floppy, who would usually cheat. Bottles were thrown, words were said. It ended when the showman chopped off Floppy's head. The big red nosed head fell to the floor. The painted on smile brought laughter no more. Before the blood fell from the polka dot sleeve, The ringleader told the Showman he must leave. As he walked from the big top, he started to think, he should stop by a pub, just to have a quick drink. He drank and he pondered events of the night. Two men took the stools to his left and his right. One dirty grave digger, and one drunken priest. They told him of famine, they told him of feast. They spoke of mankind, and a kingdom that fell. They spoke of a war between Heaven and Hell. They spoke of the music that held demons at bay. So they went to the woods, and they started to play. They played for the devils who danced all night long. They played for the angles who wept at thier songs. They played for mankinds spiritual survival. You now know the story of Blackwater Revival. ..
