I believe in the creation and distribution of emotion. These demos are working on helping me express my soul. I have created music. Here is a brief description of the songs you will hear on this site.
Three Days Strong:
Written when I was extremely tormented, my insides turning and eating me alive. Few hours at night were spent sleeping during this period of (actually) 5 days. There are three different versions of this song; this is the most conventional of the group.
The Ballad of Storn Hail:
This was written and recorded in one session, after writing the original few lines I felt that it was the most moving piece I've ever written. But I realized that moving just wasn't a correct discription of this piece. After I had polished out the form of the song before recording it I sat up and it was so hard to breath, even to stand was a strain. I felt drained emotionally and physically after writing this song. Every part of me felt empty and weak. So now I know how to describe it, it's my black hole. I couldn't wait to put it on here, I'm pretty proud of it.
Sandra Dear:
This was my recovery (from an already low point in my life..) written and recorded before "Three Days Strong" (ooh look, another rut in my life)Lord knows I tried.
Don't Welcome Madness:
This was written about five minutes before I recorded it. I had been working on putting a drum track on "Sandra Dear," then started to get this vocal melody in my head... it just kept on playing over and over and over. So I recorded it. This is my fighting, this is my desire to thrive.
The Album is on its way, the demo to TV.Land is finished, now I just need to work out the kinks. Have faith, believe in homely recordings.
The greatest contempt to the brooding souls, which ate my face. Eat away, you're still hungry.
