About Me

!CLICK THE SEAL!
Let's just say I'm a perenially un/underemployed freelance genius with a penchant for six-dollar words, sloppy detective work and live streaming media. I like reading the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, H.P. Lovecraft, Doctor H.S.T., Kurt Vonnegut, J.D. Salinger, B.E. Ellis and other subversives.
As some of you may know, I am the host/creator/program director of W.O.L.F.(click the seal above to check out our homepage). Naturally my musical tastes are pretty broad, excluding only the basest and least interesting of so-called "pop-culture".
When I am not slaying creatures of the night with my co-hosts or archiving ancient analogue audio, I like playing Rez on my PS2.
I get a lot of questions regarding my moniker. DD is a nickname I adopted as my on-air alter-ego. Dick Deadeye is also the anti-hero of the Gilbert and Sullivan Musical the HMS Pinafore. It is also the title of one of my favorite Vonnegut novels. "Dick" can also mean detective, if you lived during the 1940's. The common modern meaning of "deadeye", of course, refers to a gunman of excellent accuracy. Originally, however, a deadeye was a rounded block of wood with one or more holes drilled through it, used in the standing and running rigging of sailing vessels. So it's a bit of a lungfish of a word, having evolved to survive on land.
Some people think I am great. A lot of people think I am a jerk. Oh - and I once shot a man in Atlanta just to watch him cry.
