PARABOLICA STORY
This band existed between the years 1996 and 1998.
Parabolica starts in 1996, when Diego Avendaño puts together the current
lineup for a personal project. The energy which the musicians put into the proyect was such that they were quickly transformed into a group that came to be a finalist in the II Song Festival organized by the Municipal Administration of Montevideo.
September saw the band in the process of recording their first CD: "Hacia tu parte Interna" ("To your internal part"), with all Diego Avendaño compositions. At this time the band starts to perform as "Parabolica" promoting their music through presentations and
participating in various media channels.
In December of 1997 the Parabolica Project was recognized by the National Fund of Music, reaching with this help the edition of their first recording.The band was extended its proposal in the audiovisual field, presenting its first video clip, entitled "Sentimiento Virtual"(virtual feeling), independently released by Pablo Trobo, to the CD promotion.
