We expand to accept everything, care for all things, consider all things part of ourself. "Ask not for whom the bell tolls". Compassion--the attachment to all things, love.We shrink to become composed of nothing, attached to nothing, realize that no thing is truly essential for our beingness. We need nothing, we desire nothing, we persist in our essentiality without condition. Nirvana--the attachment to no thing. Freedom. Peace. When we have compassion but not nonattachment, we suffer, and thus, cannot maintain our connection. The greater our love, the greater our attachment, and the more we involve ourselves in the affairs of others. It becomes hard to tell who we are really trying to take care of--the other or ourself. But this is in a bad way...we tend to try to make others as we wish them to be, and blame them for trying to go their own way. Danger.THe solution is to overcome the illusion of self, find the inner emptiness and formlessness. Then we can love without being controlling, be attached without suffering. When we have nonattachment without compassion, we become a perverted hinayanist. With no attachment to self, and no attachment to other, nothing moves us. We simply become a passive nonentity. Suffering and pain of others matters not to us. We become inhuman, and cease to live. We squander our precious existence on nothingness. In many ways, one could say someone in this position still has an ego they are protecting, by not becoming engaged in helping others. The solution is to ferment compassion, and an attachment to the inherent entity of all beings and things. By recognizing the inherent sameness of all, perfect compassion becomes possible, and with it, a life full of perfect meaning. So the next time someone speaks of shrinking to an infinitesimal point and expanding to the size of the universe at the same time, you have an idea what it might mean ^_^

The trajectory traced through invented rhythms toggles my avatar to the surface of what you can comprehend. There is a wet ripeness in the air, dark with redundant, heavy time, weighed down by a pass...

Nobel Prize, bitches.

Today was a day on which the sun burned just shy of the horison. Before sinking away, with the heavy heat tugging it under. The ending of the bluest day, smooth like milk and icy, wet fire. The pag...
