Apostle Robert & Prophetess Dorthy Ford have been residents of Ypsilanti for 57 years. They have been married for 40 years. They have 6 children, 21 grandchildren. They both received Salvation and the Holy Ghost in 1973 at Messiah Temple under the leadership of the late Pastor Jesse Ross. Apostle Ford preached his first sermon in 1975. He was licensed as a minister in 1981 under the Jurisdiction of the Pentecostal Assembly of the World by the late Bishop R. Paddock, who was presiding at that time.GOD revealed himself to Sis. Ford about her call in 1982, but told her to wait on the ministry. He was preparing them both "For Such A Time As This" In March 1988 Greater Faithway Church was incorporated. Through much fasting and praying, in 1990 GOD instructed Apostle Ford to Pastor full time, so he retired from General Motors after 23 years. Apostle Ford's favorite scripture is Psalms 1:1-2 "Blessed , Happy and Fortunate is the man or woman who walk not after the counsel of the ungodly, norstandeth in the way of sinner, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord and his law doth he meditate day and night". Prophetess Ford's favorite scripture is Psalms 118:24 "This is the day that the Lord hath made; we will REJOICE and be glad in it.
