About Me

Born and raised in East Tennessee, Jerry started as many of his day singing in church, then with the advent of rock and roll, had a small R&R group singing mostly quartet numbers just in high school and in college.
The US Army called and ended the pursuit for a long while
After the army came college an a career and music took a back seat. Along the way, Jerry shifted his interest to Christian music, interested in the new rock/country oriented gospel music coming into prominence in the mid to late 70s. As part time musical director for his church, he formed a contemporary trio and did many regional venues.
But, rock and roll and particularly the blues called and Jerry began (still part time) formulating a style of blues/rock similar to Delbert McClinton's Texas Roadhouse sound, covering many of Delbert's songs.
Today his music is a mixture of that and the old Jimmy Reed/Muddy Waters sound, pretty unique in itself.
