BIOG
BIOGRAPHYRoll up Roll up. Ladies and Gentlemen, boys & girls, I'd like to introduce to you the band we've all been waiting for - please welcome to the stage, the mightySPEED CIRCUSA north London 7 piece of real lads playing music for like-minded people who go to gigs to have a good time, and not the trendsetters with there backs to the wall. Growing up in such a diverse city definitely shows in their eclectic sound, which clashes together raw punk rock n roll with ska, dub, blues and anything else they set their minds to. With influences spanning from Manu Chao to The Kinks, Mos Def to The Stone Roses their sound is lively to the extreme, giving them the capacity to reach mainstream exposure without diluting their music.Live, they combine the highly danceable rock steady beats with contemporary twists, using anything from Jewish and Russian influences in fan favorite Problem, to the tequila fuelled sing along of Jose Curvo. But expect the unexpected; catch them on a full day and you’ll see them introduced by Oz, their very own clown; blues harmonica legend howling slim joining them on stage; and you may even spot the boys Kosov dancing.... well having a go anyway! They have not only cracked the usual London circuit but have also blown away crowds of the larger scale supporting Madness on their 2005 forest tour playing to up to 8000 people a night. Also recently come off a sold out nation wide tour supporting The Rifles playing such venues as The Electric Ballroom London, The Wedgewood rooms Portsmouth, The Coliseum Coventry and The Carling Academy Bristol to name but a few. With recording sessions booked up in early December with well established producer Stan Kybert who’s work includes Oasis and Paul Weller, the boys will no doubt have great recordings to compliment their infamous live show. Things are looking good for Speed Circus with the immanent release of their debut single in early 2007.Respect the clown!!!Managed by Gary Boorman CEC Management [email protected] Profile Generator
