My Interests

Music:

Unconventional … Nonconformist … Unorthodox … Eccentricity … Oddity … Freak. These are the words used to define a person who marches to a different beat. Yet these characteristics are the soul behind the name 'UNLEASHED'.

UNLEASHED is a way of speaking your mind, daring to be different. Not to be lead by others; not to be told what is right or wrong; not to be just 'in the norm', not to be tied down to conformity. No. A spirit that wants to Be UNLEASHED!

A young lady inspired by her love for fashion, music and graphic design, Roma Bacolod spearheaded the progress last August 20, 2003. Conveniently, with the collaboration from some of her friends and close relations Ms. Bacolod was able to create masterful fashion creations that would compliment her artistic designs. Fashion and design would not have been a business without the efficiencies of business acumen nor the genius of marketing and sales; hence, her friend Mark Chua .

Now, with the fashion and the administrative aspects all merged into a unique apparels company, it is time to Be UNLEASHED!

THE FOUNDER

ROMA … a true Augustinian by heart went to DLSU-College of St. Benilde to follow her passion in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Major in Computer Application. Technological development has given her opportunities to further explore her aspirations in graphic design. A short adherence to Nestle Philippines helped her enhance business strategies, which later on gained her a job at JPMED Asian Pacific Inc. as a Web Designer.

A travel to the United States last 2001, gave her inspiration to develop “Unleashed”. Her inherent fashion taste gave her the distinction on how imported brand's high-quality graphic logo tees looked like. She has long desired to want these kinds of clothes, so she thought to herself, “Hmmm … Why not make this my business?!” She went home with this inclination to fulfill this dream.

While working at JPMED, her graphic designing talent was further enhanced. Not only did she consider that this can help her explore the different aspects of designs, but also trigger for a unique quality of graphics.

She wanted her brand to go miles farther than imported brands. She has made her own study of prints and designs, alongside working as a Web Designer.

While working her study for “Unleashed”, so much excitement has built-up. She started looking for suppliers for fabric. Having a college friend in mind, MARK , who can supply, later on proposed to her to be a partner.

THE CHIEF

MARK … a BS Commerce graduate, majored in Management of Financial Institutions at De La Salle University, Taft Manila. This course gave him knowledge to face the business sales trading systems and jargons in the Philippines. Young in his high school years at St. Jude, entrepreneurial interest was already seen in him.

He is a former Senior System Analyst of Accenture and a Chief Accounts Manager of his family business, was on the constant look-out for his own business venture. When Roma went to him to ask for help in supplying the fabrics, she was just casually telling him about her business. Profuse excitement was heard in her voice, MARK himself was overwhelmed by this. Right that instant, he wanted to be a partner.

He put the right business perspective to “Unleashed”. More than the cute graphic designs of every “Unleashed” clothing is a well thought-out business plan.

• Sort the laundry. Separate garments depending on how soiled they are: very stained or not. Wash white and pale garments separately from colored or dark garments.

• Select the appropriate wash cycle and temperature. The temperature, wash cycle, and spin will vary according to the garment composition. Natural fabrics such as wool, linen and silk will shrink if washed at excessively high temperatures and will lose shape if spun or hung vertically. Artificial and synthetic fabrics are very sensitive to heat, and therefore must be washed in warm water and ironed inside out at a low temperature.

• Add the correct amount of detergent. Adding too much detergent damages clothes, harms the environment and if the detergent does not dissolve correctly, clothes may become stained. Do not overload the washing machine: overloading may prevent the clothes from being properly washed.

• Dry the clothes. Spin drying and direct exposure to sunlight during drying tends to make clothes lumpy. After machine washing, it is a good idea to dry clothes immediately, as leaving laundry in the washing machine for an extended period may cause unpleasant odors and humidity in garments.

• Iron the clothes. Start ironing at the lowest temperature. Iron the clothes slightly damp or inside out in the case of dark colors. DO NOT IRON ON PRINT. It will damage it.
