About Me

Hmmm....Lets see, what can I tell you about me? Me is a pronoun- The objective case of I. Used as the direct object of a verb: She wanted me. Used as the indirect object of a verb: They offered me bliss. Used as the object of a preposition: This email is addressed to me. Informal- Used as a predicate nominative: It's me. Nonstandard- Used reflexively as the indirect object of a verb: I bought me a new car. Also, the abbreviation for Maine, Mechanical Engineer(ing), Medical Examiner, Middle English, Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, etc. Me is used in many constructions where strict grammarians prescribe I. This usage is not so much ungrammatical as indicative of the shrinking range of the nominative form: me began to replace I sometime around the 16th century largely because of the pressure of word order. I is now chiefly used as the subject of an immediately following verb. Me occurs in every other position: absolutely (who, me?), emphatically (me too), and after prepositions, conjunctions, and verbs, including be (come with me) (you're as hot as me) (it's me). Almost all usage books recognize the legitimacy of me in these positions, especially in speech; some recommend I in formal and especially written contexts after be and after as and than when the first term of the comparison is the subject of a verb.Sorry, that's probably more about ME than you ever cared to know, but I hope you find that the real ME is much more exciting than what you just read..... img src="http://..

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Jesus (Wouldn't everyone like to meet him?) I doubt he's a member of MySpace though, but you never know. They say people find Jesus in the most unexpected places.Note to MySpace: To be grammatically correct, it should be "Whom I'd like to meet", not "Who I'd like to meet" ; )
