Corey was born on February 23, 1970 in Montreal and lives in Kahnawake. The first guitar he ever played on was a Fender Stratocaster that he and his big brother had bought together when Corey was 11 years old.Already a promising and very talented guitar player, he was only 13 when he gave his first concert with his brother at Kahnawake’s Survival School.Corey was always a rock fan, following great master Jimi Hendrix, and other inspiring guitar players such as ZZ Top, Robin Trower and Rory Gallagher.The first song young Corey learned to play on his famous Stratocaster was the great Chuck Berry’s Johnny B. Good that he played with his first rock n’ roll band, Slight Return.Although Corey is still young, he has already worked with important bands such as The East Side Players, Dawn Tyler Watson as well as Jonas and the Blues Blooded.Corey spends his spare time collecting guitars (he’s the proud owner of Gibson guitars from the 50’s and Fenders from the 60’s) and vintage cars and loves car shows and drag races.Corey Diabo is an amazing guitar player and an essential creative force to this project.
