Underwater

..Lukasz Stankiewicz comes from the Polish city of Torun. He has been interested in electronic music since he was a child. His first attempt at making music dates back to the year 2000. It was then that he bought his first PC and made his first track using a software called Renoise. He was inspired by such artists as Ferry Corsten, Above & Beyond, Rank 1 etc. His pseudonim comes from a track called „Underwater” by Delerium. When the interest in his music production grew among his friends, he then decided to send his demos to different labels abrod. He made a track called „Water planet”in 2004 which received massive support from such top djs as Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Dreas, Activa or Aerodrome. Paul Van Dyk, who was voted world’s best dj in 2006 by DJ Mag readers has put „Water planet” on his playlist. The track has also been featured on two compilation mixes: „Creamfields” mixed by Ferry Corsten and „Antwerp 05 mixed by M.I.K.E. „Water planet” was originally released on Sential Recordings that Underwater has signed a record deal with. In 2006 the artist has signed a record deal with up-and-coming English label Solaris Recordings.
