My name is Ryan Earp. Born in Seattle Washington, I moved to St. Cloud, MN when I was 10. For the last 5 years, Duluth is where I've called home.Music has always been a huge part of my life and recently I found its becoming my life (thanx to TVP). I started my musical journey with the piano at age 5 and I would later diversify from there. It was just a couple years later when I found the bass - first in orchestra - later in my bedroom listening to Paul McCartney and Eric Clapton.Since then, I've played in a bunch of bands and went on to Minor in Jazz/Performance at UMD. There I performed in a jazz combo with Trumpet virtuoso and Grammy Award winner Bobby Shew. On weekends, I would drink with some friends in a band called "Nothing Much".All past experiences have helped me to get where I am today with The Very People. I feel honored to have the opportunity to be playing with a group of people that push my musical talents/knowledge to the limits everyday. Nate, Buff, and Ben, thanks for opening a whole new world of music to me. I'll never forget that. Jesse, thanks for writing some awesome songs, letting us kick them around until we figured them out, and getting us on our feet. Rochelle, thanks for being you, the glue, and an awesome singer.Through it all, in music and outside, one person has been there with me to offer her complete support and to push me to be a better person - my GF Emmy Claire.
