About Me

I am one of those who started at the age of 7 with accordeon. My parents got that idea after a sunday service: It must have been just after my 5th birthday when I entered the upstairs church-organ after the service, stepped on the bass pedals and pressed the keys -what a sound!! I felt like being a wizard, until somebody wrapped his arms around my body and carried me away from that magic place...So it had to be accordeon for several years. Thanks Mum and Dad forever!
But the day (I had turned 13) I had been listening to Moog-synthesizers and tried out a Korg Poly Six afterwards, I knew that a change was triggered! No money for that, but my desire was set on the Hold-Button for ever-lasting-wishes until I had the amount to buy me one a couple of years later. (My former girl friend wanted to add apple juice onto the keys when I came home and wanted to start a presentation. I did not spent a single thought that this was the financial cancelation of our already planned holidays..., that episode is no joke, folks) To whom is my love, I was asked, and I sold my synth again :((
Wouldn't do this again!! :PP
Later ( 1991) I was happy with a Roland D20 synth which was -and still is- able to record MIDI data to its internal 8-track sequencer. The first funny pieces had been produced, and sometimes I listen to them like to old time radio. I still got "it", but I had to wait another 8 years (seems that 8 is my number) until I could get an used CS1x to get ahead. In combination with NI's Symphonic Orchestra Library it's always a great job and fun, but I mostly waste more time than I would like to spend with all that technical equipment. And there's only rare time left to make spontaneous efforts just with the PC. So I love to discover and listen to some great pieces that I've found (not only) in this forum here.
All my other fancy equipment is still in use, but set on being second-violin-like.
Thank you for taking your time to read through this, and fly again with...hmm,... maybe you like one of the pieces that I've "done" .
In the meantime I wish all the best to you who make and listen to music :)))

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Markus Lapke
Influences: Yesterdays' Synthesizers might have been the orchestral works of Berlioz, Wagner, Copland and Bernstein, exactly that chain of history. I know that I've dropped many others. We have to work it out with our possibilities. Let's do it!
Sounds Like: Really homemade, trying to be perfect might be a spoiling factor, but practising is a need, and time is a divine gift...
