I am a painter combining painted scenes of stark structures with embroidery, print and appliqué.I am an emerging artist and graduate of Chelsea College of Art and the Royal College of Art.Within my paintings I stitch and appliqué, subverting the medium’s traditional roots to present a post apocalyptic painted and stitched landscape. Embroidery is used as a mode of paint; the textiles are an opportunity to find new expressions in painting, highlighting the delicate unusual beauty of the subject, revealing tactile surfaces and hidden stories.I have paintings in public and private collections and have exhibited extensively nationally and internationally, in group shows and recently a solo exhibition in London at The Residence Gallery.Thanks for reading.
