I've started studying drums late, at age 19,during September 1993, after spending my early years in seeking MY OWN instrument.
I took the first drum lessons in the memorable community centre GONG, in Rozzano (MI), where i began to develope drums rudiments and the basic rules on the instrument.
The following year, (1994), i keep studying in the historical jazz club CAPOLINEA, in Milan, with indivual lessons from the late lamented ENRICO LUCCHINI (RIP) before, then with TONY ARCO.
There were the very first experiences of intense, difficult, but VERY deep STUDY.
After the civilian duties instead of national service (March 96), i've started in playing drums in a lot of local bands (such as ESTREMO SALUTO, with 2 demo tapes of italian thrash metal produced, HYPNOSIA, post-thrash metal band winner of SCORRIBANDE CONTEST in 1999).Particularly, i've created KOMADAY, prog-metal thrash band, with
LUCA PREDERI on bass. The band will produce a cd-promo in 2001 and a full lenght album "The Ghost and the WIseman",
released in 2006 under the LABEL Lucretia Records (formerly label for Angra, Time Machine, Andrè Matos) and distribuited worldwide with execellent feedback.
At the same time with KOMADAY, i've founded the hard rock hits band
MIRADAVAGA in 2002, able in producing 5 promo-cd and hundreds of live-gig everywhere in the Italian music pub.From 2005 i'm cooperating and studying at the Modern Music Academy, in Milan , (teacher LUCA TUROLLA), where i've achieved the certificate in STUDIO RECORDING PERFORMANCES,
FIRST-SIGHT MUSIC READING and DRUMS ARRANGEMENTS (teacher GABOR LESKO).From 2006 with MIRADAVAGA and the famous mountaineer/writer FABIO PALMA i've started to perform CONCERTO VERTICALE
in all places and festivals in Italy(about 40 gigs).
CONCERTO VERTICALE is still touring in Italy and it's now an acclamated worldwide-format reading-concert, with a unique mix of images, poetry, music and reading.In 2007 i've come in TIMESWORD, prog-metal band with a record out worldwide early in 2009.
Great musicians like Bryan Beller(Steve Vai bass-player)and others, and my friends LUCA PREDERI n' DAN LOGOLUSO (the mind behind this superband) are involved in the project.
In 2008, i've began a cooperation with DREAM EVIL, a good RONNIE JAMES DIO Tribute band.I've started teaching rock-metal drums from 2006, as an independent teacher.
I'm also a music compositor,arranger,sound engineer ast., (iscr. ENPALS n' SIAE).
I'm the official endorser and italian dealer of the mighty MASTRO SNARES, custom n' supreme instruments.
My musical background was strongly influenced by the first usa thrash metal played like monster bands as TESTAMENT,
METALLICA, NEVERMORE,PANTERA, by the prog-metal drumming from musician like Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater),
Mark Zonder (formerly FATES WARNING) and by a certain technichal pop-prog drumming like icon as Jeff Porcaro (TOTO)
n' Christian Meyer (Elio e le storie Tese). Even if my taste for rock, hard rock, metal in all forms still remains predominant, i've developed throught these years passion n' enjoyment for all musical genres where,
besides instrumental technique, it's possible to appreciate virtuos arrangments and melody in all parts of a song.
