With songs that chime away like the bell of an old clock tower Geoff Diss pays homage to the larger than life musical gods of the 70's, 80's, 90's and now, to produce essential modern day pop songs of an eclectic mix. With a rock background, Geoff has combined his years of live show experience with upbeat hard kicking tunes and peeled them back to expose a core of raw guitars and harmony. In turn producing a mixed bag of hart felt tunes that draw from life experience.
Geoff has been chosen from hundreds of entries to be added to the top finalists at the 'Q Song awards', the 'ASA songwriting comp', 'Fretfest' find of the year, and the 'Nashville Music City' songwriting contest, along with honourable mentions from the 'We Are Listening' international songwriting comp and the 'Quicklaunch' international songwriting contest. Geoff was also chosen as a runner up at the international Song Of The Year for independant artists. Geoff has been added to the Artists Against Cancer cd with 11 other international acts to promote money and awareness for the cancer cause.Jim Halsey from the 15th annual international billboard song contest wrote about 'Belong To', "Has strong pop commercial appeal.Great lyrical meter and structure - chorus is very finely distinct and has a memorable hook!".Geoff's latest songs have been picked up and pitched by licensing companies in Canada, LA and here in Australia.
