1984 was a great year. Aja is the youngest gem of 5. Father is a bass man who liked Steely Dan. Dancer, singer, actor, writer, and poet all rolled up into one strong willed, determined, beautiful girl with a heart of gold and an abundance of love to spread to everyone through her music. She got her start singing the National Anthem for several different teams such as MN Twins, MN Lynx, MN Vixens, MN Thunder, MN Gophers teams, and for conventions and conferences. While singing all over the U.S including Washington D.C, she has had the opportunity to sing for the First lady and Colin Powell, as well as an abundance of Washington dignitaries and people of famous standing such as Sam Donaldson and Elizabeth Dole. Her music basis stems from the greats that were played around the house growing up: Sara Vaughan, Patti Labelle, Anita Baker, Tina Marie, Phyllis Hyman, Minnie Ripperton, Cool and the Gang, Ella Fitzgerald, and the list continues. Though classical has played a big portion of her life for the past 4 years, Aja is not only limited to that genre. Be it Jazz, Pop, R&B, or Blues, you are guranteed to hear something you like.
