About Me

Anveld is a band which plays and creates modern Folkdance music, which is very much in touch with the traditional folkdances such as andro, bourrée, mazurka, gavotte, waltz, ….Most of their work are selfwritten melodies on traditional folkdances with contemporary arrangements. The powers of this band are the skilled musicians and the fact that they were able to give those traditional dances a contemporary sound while respecting those traditional dances at the same time.

Even though this is a “young” band they had very good passages at festivals such as Folkwoods/Holland and Dranouter Folkfestival/Belgium.

Their first CD was released in April 2006. It was a total DIY-project with Bran Ruz at the helm as recordtech with Tim Coulembier and Bran Ruz as producers.
