*sigh*
Left home in 1993 to go to sunny England. Stayed there, still waiting for the first real sunny day...those travel brochures suck...
Seriously though, I used to roadie for a punk rock outfit, The Rags in the 80's and early 90's, I suppose putting stuff into vans and eating someone else's pizza was all I was good at... punkrock has always played a part of my life and whilst I don't go to gigs that much anymore, I still buy loads of vinyl. I have a massive preference for early punk stuff from either side of the pond... as for the newer stuff other than a mild addiction to Naked Raygun, I kinda like the FatWreck sound, half because they produce some very tidy bands and allow local support acts to play at their gigs (well they do in UK anyhow) and also they gave home to some German friends of mine on their label so I feel good about plugging their stuff. Besides, Fat Mike weighs more than me...
Well I have just bought the latest Bad Religion record and it is exactly what I expected, punkrock with a massive layer of guitars and lyrics that matter. Throughly recommended...
