About Me

I'm a 27 y.o All-American type guy with a pretty normal life most of the time. Most of the time, my week consists simply of going to work, going to the gym, then going home. I love to travel, hang out with friends, sports, and anything active (much more of a doer than a watcher---don't like to spend too much time on the sidelines).
I just moved to Salina, KS from Oklahoma City. I still haven't made many friends up here, but am thankful for all the friends I have ALL OVER the place who keep up with me even though I'm not around.

My Interests

Sports, Art, Family, Friends.
I love college sports---particularly football and basketball. I'm a huge OU Fan! HUGE!
I'm also a big-time art enthusiast. That's visual, performing, whatever. Love going to galleries, the symphony, ballet, whatever. It's ALL good.
My close friends and family are VERY important to me. 'Nuff said. :-)

I'd like to meet:

Most of the people on my friends list are people that I already know and not ones I've met on Myspace. There are a few select VERY cool new friends I've added on here, so if you're just that cool, then hit me up. I'm not a friend collector though, so if you just want another pretty face to add to your profile and have no intention of talking ever, then save your time and click on someone else's "ADD ME" button.

What Tarot Card Are You?

You are The Devil

Materiality. Material Force. Material temptation; sometimes obsession

The Devil is often a great card for business success; hard work and ambition.

Perhaps the most misunderstood of all the major arcana, the Devil is not really "Satan" at all, but Pan the half-goat nature god and/or Dionysius. These are gods of pleasure and abandon, of wild behavior and unbridled desires. This is a card about ambitions; it is also synonymous with temptation and addiction. On the flip side, however, the card can be a warning to someone who is too restrained, someone who never allows themselves to get passionate or messy or wild - or ambitious. This, too, is a form of enslavement. As a person, the Devil can stand for a man of money or erotic power, aggressive, controlling, or just persuasive. This is not to say a bad man, but certainly a powerful man who is hard to resist. The important thing is to remember that any chain is freely worn. In most cases, you are enslaved only because you allow it.

What American accent do you have? Your Result: The Midland "You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.

Music:

A few of my favorites include Scissor Sisters, Fantasia, Jason Mraz, Maroon 5, Madonna, Radiohead, The Killers, The Toadies, Elton John, Finger Eleven, Deborah Cox, and Gwen Stefani.

Movies:

Mean Girls-some of you are going to laugh at this, but I really think it's funny.
Shawshank Redemption-still one of the best movies ever.
Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Date Movie-it's just funny.
I also like most scary movies and psychological thrillers. I have a thing for movies played out on a historical backdrop, or that have some true story behind them. These include just about everything from Gladiator to Braveheart to The Exorcism of Emily Rose.

Television:

I like to think I'm not a television junky, but I do have a weakness for certain shows. Now that American Idol season has ended, I've made the easy transition to So You Think You Can Dance (which incidently works out great since it fills the time slot previously occupied by Greys Anatomy. I admit it. I rush home from work to watch this. I am a big Greys Anatomy fan. Aside from these two shows, the only other television I'll ever schedule my life around is OU Basketball and OU Football.

Books:

I don't read nearly as much as I used to (got my BA in English Literature, so I've done my fair share of reading over the years), but I generally appreciate anything that makes you think. The last couple books I read were Allan Bloom's The Closing of the American Mind and Fyodor Dostoevsky's Notes from Underground (a reread for me---but a well deserved one).

Heroes:

There are so many. Most of them aren't famous, but they are all human and extraordinary.
