Jesca Hoop! my favoritist runaway Mormon songbird, after my mom that is. I admit to a love of Patty Griffin, The Weepies, for Edie Brickell, for Feist, Mirah, Jolie Holland, Grace Potter and Emilliana Torrini, but I can be tough too - Grrr. Also I love me some Dinah Washington and that Artie Shaw clarinet.
Movies:
Harold and Maud is a sort of cabbage juice litmus test. Those who love the movie aren't automatically in the spiffy group -- but those who don't like it, or worse don't get it, are definitely not invited to the potluck.
Also been known to hole-up with wine, blankets and someone pretty for: North by Northwest, Lion in Winter, Pride & Prejudice, Ninotchka, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Of Human Bondage, His Girl Friday or the Philadelphia Story.And I admit to a certain sort of childish joy taken from Harold and Kumar (go to whitecastle) -- it's the ultimate modern picaresque

Arrested development. WHY OH WHY DID THEY CANCEL YOU? Big Love, mystery, Masterpiece Theater, and Jeeves & Wooster.
I'm extremely negative on Docudramas; I take my facts with a bit less tarting up.
