From a toddler he was brought up as "Telly" because of the 1970's television character Kojak also known as Telly Savalis. Kojak was known for his shiny bald head and Terence was born bald & didn't grow any hair till the age of 4. Hence the name "Telly"! Growing up in the Tough streets of Ruff Buff,Telly had 2 make a name 4 hiself. By the age of 19 he met a few friends who was already trying to make a name for themselves(Slice,Torture & Melec). All three were very talented local rap artists who had a pretty well known name in the city. Telly,like the person he was used used his friends raps as a sponge & caught on very quickly. They taught him how to deliver the rhyme to an audience so they can relate to you. Also how to catch a person's ear the 1st time u spit a bar. After that there was no turning back. By the age of 21,Telly started getting very cocky with the flow. He turned himself from a regular line-to-line rapper to a comical-punchline spitter. The street corner to street corner battle rap was very big in Buffalo in the late 80's-early 90's so Telly used that to his advantage and started battling anybody that he knew could rap. What he found out was he was pretty damn good. He wow'd street corners of people with his witty flow & charming personality. Before long everybody knew that when Telly come to spit he means business. Not really knowing the talent that he posessed by the age of 23 he was getting to perfect the craft. He began doing show's locally,entering as many upcoming battles as possible,performing for hundreds sometimes thousands of people & the crowds loved him! His funny punchlines & cocky swag seperated him from alot of local rappers. Fast forward to the present! It's been 7 years & Telly has now proven that he has what it takes to make it in the music industry. After numerous studio's & dealing with many local producers in Buffalo,Telly is ready to take the next step! Kicking in the Rap industry's door & letting the world now that he has arrived! He has recently moved is long search for fame to the dirty south where in 2007 the music industry has recently embrassed. Is it time to shine? Can the south really embrasse a N.Y rapper? Well,enough with the 3rd person talk,I feel that my flow combined with the beats that has people leanin & rockin or 2 steppin that i can put a new twist to things. I'm here in Texas & i fell in love with the chopped & screwed music a while ago!
