Mission: To educate all new parents about SIDS, to get more benefactors to donate/funds for research to find the cause, and with hope to prevent SIDS, to bring an end to this unanswered nightmare. To pass laws in health care which would mandate all providers to educate them on SIDS, and provide available resources on infant/child CPR as part of prenatal care and parenting classes. This is based of the American Heart Assoc. Website: CPR is a lifesaving procedure that is performed when an infant breathing or heartbeat has stopped. CPR is a combination of: Rescue breathing, which provides oxygen to the infants lungs: Chest compressions, which keep the infants blood circulating. Permanent brain damage or death can occur within minutes if a infants blood flow stops. Therefore, you must continue these procedures until the infants heartbeat and breathing return, or trained medical help arrives. Time is very important when dealing with an unconscious infant who is not breathing. Permanent brain damage begins after only 4 minutes without oxygen, and death can occur in as little as 4 to 6 minutes. Please support us and this event.
