Red Sky Diary is the epic story of an ancient clan of Mudir (Arabic for "demonâ€) hunters descended from the time of Kublai Khan. For over six hundred years the firstborn male child of each generation of this clan has been charged with the grim task of waging a desperate one-man war against evil, protecting mankind from an unearthly plague of creatures who hunt the night, prowling the shadow realm between reason and superstition, fearfully awaiting the wrath of the one they call Ulaan-Baatar, the Red Son. His full name is Kerulan Ulaanbaatar, he is also known by the Pseudonym, "Man Gallows". Gallows is the modern day incarnation of this succession of legendary warriors, and his fate is of special significance in an epic war that is about to come full circle.

BRIEF
A devastating physical force, a staggeringly brilliant tactician, Gallows can estimate the weakness of an enemy or enemies, utilize his training, and overcome his targets in a swift, instantly choreographed reign of havoc. Death is an art form and a science to him. He has the gift. Gallows seems to “see†the fight and it’s outcome in his mind before stepping into it. Gallows also wears the badges of his accomplishments. His right arm is a patchwork of tribal tattoos, or “death marksâ€. Each mark designates an enemy conquered. The clan assimilated the practice of awarding these marks many generations before, an influence of other Nomadic cultures. Gallows is known to wear “Flash†goggles. These goggles are a heavily filtered pair of lenses that protect his eyes when using incendiary or bright flash weapons against an enemy. He wears them when he goes into battle for the aforementioned reason, but also because he believes the goggles give him a psychological edge and help present a more ferocious adversary to his enemies.
"There will be many occasions when you may find yourself outnumbered by your enemies. This can play into your hands on several levels. Certain of their number will be overconfident. Overconfidence can be a fatal flaw to those in a position of power. Others will be paralyzed by fear or indecision. Still others will be overly aggressive and not think before they strike. Your strategy will lie in the pecking order. Quickly judging the full capacity of an enemy's weakness is the true artistry of combat."
