ZaraMeow review by Jomar Rees.At this week’s Music Producers Forum meeting, we gathered at the Surf Rock Hotel. One of our newest Sydney independent artists, (Singer, songwriter and killer piano player) Zara Meow introduced her self in stunning style with her electronic piano at hand, on centre stage at the Surf Rock.In my first conversation with Zara, a few of her passions spring to topic. The love for her animals (Though I did not get to ask what kind of animals they were), and love of her own fans. Every CD sold is personalised with her own cover artwork! This really adds to the value of her product, with every CD being a one of a kind.Zara’s music was like a fresh sea breeze, hearing her piano playing ring through the Surf Rock which is a predominantly guitar open mic venue. It’s like she has an affinity with the keyboard which she projects some great dynamics to make the instrument have a voice of its own. Her music and her voice is an absolute pleasure to hear, and what can I say, apart from I’m a fan of Zara’s.When I get a chance, I’ll interview Zara and find out about the inspirations behind her music. You can hear her music now at www.myspace.com/zarameow.
