Singer/songwriter Renee Herman is that friend who will tell you the truth even if it makes you laugh, cry and think more than you wanted to. Drawing you in by leading you upward and outward, her honey sweet vocals infuse her performance with intimacy while her Judy Collins range and Etta James sass add power and grit to her Midwestern charm. Raised in both the small rural town of Frankfort, Michigan and the big university town of Ann Arbor, trained in classical, jazz and everything in between, Renee’s border crossing voice brings the fresh perspective of “all sides” to her music.
