41 WAYZ YOU KNOW I'M FROM PHILLY....
1. I hate L.A., and I KNEW not to rock a Lakers jersey on South or Broad Street during play-offs.
2...I also hate Dallas.
3. I realize my favorite desert is "wooder" ice.
4. I know that Camden is nothing but "EAST-PHILLY."
5. I know the Philly summer anthem is WILL
SMITHS "summertime."
6. I grew up playin double dutch or playin ball on a milk crate.
7. I played "king ball", TV tag", and "Catch a Girl Freak a Girl" at least once everyday when I was little.
8. I can sleep soundly through gunfire and ambulance sirens.
9. I can't eat french fries without Cheez Whiz.
10. I have the pizza place on speed dial.
11.Ive eaten a pizza pretzel.
12. A vacation to Jersey shore is better than going to any island.
13.I stay takin pictures on the "EL."
14. I don't think Wawa sounds funny.
15.Like 99% of my friends families are Muslim.
16.I have a Chinese store on the corner of my block, and I know erbody in there by first name.
17.I diss a cheese steak that is not on a Amoroso roll...or one made with "steak ums."
18.I pronounce Olney and Acme-"Ol-e-ney" and "Ac-a-me."
19.I know how serious the " Best of the Best" and other hairshows can get.
20.I know that bowling parties be bangin.
21/22.I get in the water plug and think its just as good as a pool.
23.I stop just as hard at the cute "sock stand" as I do in any mall.
24.I drink "Young bouls" with a bag of Herrs.
25.I get mad when niggas say "subs" or "Heroes" when I know that its a HOAGIE.
26. and I really hate when niggas say "POP" when I know that it is "SODA."
27.I go to the Gallery or South Street just to chill.
28.I know where the "plat" is.
29.The ice cream truck comes around at 3am.
30.I know what a "JAWN" is.
31.I been tryin to get to the GREEK since I was ten.
32.I go all out for Power House like its the prom.
33.I know that Pats and Genos DO NOT have the best chesse steaks and hoagies... they make the most expensive ones.
34.I remember Club Illusions.

38.I know that "unity day" and "odunde" is the shit.
39.In the summer I get sharp just to sit on the block.

Philadelphia isn't just a city that lies between the shadows of New York and Washington, It's a city where the Eagles are the topic of dinner conversation year round. It's where a meal consists of a cheesesteak, wings, soft pretzels,& Tasty Kakes for dessert. It's where there's a Wawa or a Chinese Store on every corner, and you look forward to the 1st day of Spring when Rita's gives out free "wooder" ice. It's where you know it's a hoagie, not a sub and the shore, not the beach. It's where people wear sharp shape ups, thick beards, rock State Property, White Tees and Caprees, "nubees", "buttas", Sneakers and "fitted's". Most importantly, where everyone is brothers and it's ok to say hello to someone you don't know if they're a birds fan. Its where everybody says "ya mean", "Drawl'n,"Jawn", "Yo" and "Bol" in every sentence, and only people from Philly know what it means. Its where people ride or die for the Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, and the Sixers. The city where everybody hangs out on South Street, and where Broad Street is the directions to get anywhere in the city. Its the city of nieghborhoods. Center City, South Philly, SouthWest Philly, North Philly, NorthEast, West Philly, Nicetown, Logan, Kensington, Frankford, Germantown, Mt. Airy, West Oak Lane, East Oak Lane, Olney, and Fishtown, none of the suburbs. It's where everybody loves where their from, PHILLY!!!. That is Philly, the city of Brotherly Love
