Donald Simms was born November 4, 1982 to Donald and Connie Simms. From an early age, DJ was very active in church. From the Sunshine Band to the mass choir, he was willing to do anything to bring glory to God. In 2002, after suffering an illness, the Lord revealed to him that he had do more than just praise God from the pew. His s needed firm relationship with Christ. If that wasn't enough, his grandmother (Who was also his prayer partner) went on to be with the Lord in 2004. Since then he has gone on to do many things in the Name of the Lord. His most recent blessing was marrying his best friend Valerie Judkins in June 2007, as well as, taking over the youth department at St. James Restoration. He has been blessed to have sung with choirs such as Children of the Gospel. Because of this opportunity he was able meet and sing with artists such as Kim Burrell and pastor Daryl Coley. He has been able to minister through word and song in some of the following states like California and South Carolina. He has most recently established a praise team called Freestyle Worship. On July 30th he was ordained Elder Donald Lee Simms Jr. He also was appointed as the National Praise & Worship Leader for the Apostolic Churches Of Christ In God (ACCG). Its mission is to bring young people and the body of Christ together in a way that lives are changed not by the beat or moves with the song but totally under the leading of the holy sprit. DJ's prayer that God will use him to encourage those around him to live a holy and acceptable life in the Name of the Lord. His favorite saying to live by is "If your desire is not your purpose then why are living"?
