This layout is from whateverlife.com!Hello! I'm Shannon. I grew up in East TN working in my Mom's home catering business. Although I never honestly thought that I would end up working in the catering business myself years later...here I am. I guess it's just in my blood! So why fight what your good at right? I spent my 20's as a singer/dancer performing all over the country in shows at theme parks, singing back-up vocals on tour with some country music legends, and spending the rest of my time beating on doors on Music Row trying to get a record deal! But after I realized that most men that I had to deal with to 'get to the top' would rather sleep with me than listen to my demo...I'd had enough! I really have to admit that I got to experience some pretty incredible things before the age of 30! I have truly been blessed! Well...that was before I decided to get married and move to the Redneck Rivera...otherwise known as Myrtle Beach, SC! Fun place to visit. But not to live! I found myself lost and unable to recognize myself or whom I had once been. Mostly because I had no creative outlet! I quickly learned that I was never going to be the perfect little corporate wife that was happy staying home, raising the kids, going to the gym, and having the perfect plastic boobs, body and smile as long as my husband kept the money flowing in! That's just not me! There's not a fake bone in my body! Although I would mind the boobs! HA! I tried my best to befriend all of the other corporate wives. We 'Did Lunch', went shopping, and attended each others get-togethers. That's actually where my catering all began. I was at a baby shower where the caterer had done a terrible job on the cake and food. And I offered to cater the next party. I did...and my business really took off from there. I started making a lot of cakes and catering small corporate functions, around town. I was also a private chef in people's homes and taught cooking classes in my home for the women that wanted to try new recipes. We would prepare and cook them at my house and then they would have enough for two to take home for dinner that night. It was a big hit! (I need to start doing that here in Nashville soon!)
