Napoleon Hill

Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.

About Me

I was born in the year 1883 on October 26. Our home was a one-room cabin located on the Pound River area of Wise County, Virginia. My mother passed away when I was but 10 years of age. My father later remarried. I've always been interested in learning and writing and at 13 years of age I was able start my career as a reporter for the local newspapers.
In 1908, I had the great fortune of being challenged by the late Andrew Carnegie who made his fortune in the steel industry. I went on a 20-year journey learning from great men of industry, politics, and so forth about the principles of success. I was able to compile my findings into my first set of books known as the Law of Success. I also published a magazine (Hill's Golden Rule) telling of what I learned and how to apply the principles prior to the book set. Charles Haanel's Master Key System was a great asset to me in further understanding what it takes to become successful in all aspects of life.
From 1933-1936 I became an advisor to Franklin D. Roosevelt. Can you imagine a poor lad from the backwoods of Virginia advising the President of the United States?
Later I went onto writing my greatest known book, Think and Grow Rich which is published in many languages today across the world. Prior to my passing I had the fortune of getting to know many great people during my lifetime (including my great friend, W. Clement Stone). Though all my works, I wish upon you to go forward and apply the principles that I first learned and that all great and successful people have put into practice.
May you achieve all that you believe you can.
Yours,
Napoleon

Green Eggs and Ham & Persistence

In Think and Grow Rich, the 8th step toward riches that I described is Persistence.  The lack of which leads to failure.  In Dr. Seuss' book, Green Eggs and Ham, Sam-I-Am is persistent ...
