The HumBuckers

About Me

On stage, the band prove time and again that it has the goods to wow audiences. A recent Fred's Speakeasy performance showcased their penchant for booty-shaking boogies, sing-along melodies and a few breathless Bo Diddley beats. If the songs sound familiar (even derivative), that's because the Humbuckers' brand of tuneful, three-chord rock 'n' roll has been around since Dylan met The Byrds. (Or at least since Petty met the Heartbreakers.) They aren't breaking any new musical ground, but they are proving that the much-tilled soil is still rich with good songs." After only playing 4 shows in 3 months, The Original Humbuckers called it quits after that last Be Here Now gig in Asheville. Now, with time served, The Humbuckers are slowly but surely putting together a few “ 3 min - 3 chord” songs influenced by the likes of Petty, Young , Parsons , Westerburg & Williams ( Hank and Matthew ) . West Virginia native - Singer/Songwriter Rudy Colombo - ( Asheville bands- The Gypsy Moths , NC Rail & Billy The Six ) has come out of his 11 year hibernation and is writing some new songs and re-writing some old ones. The Humbuckers were re-formed in May of 2008................................................... _________________________________ I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace) ____________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________
