Sam Parnell lives in the Midlands. Born in Bangor, North Wales in 1973. His
school years were traumatic due to undetected dyslexia. He gladly left at
age 15. Since then he has lived in Somerset, spending some of the time with
travellers and enjoyed life on the beach in Spain for a couple of summers.Always interested in art, he tries to incorperate recycling in his work.
Looking in skips to find old picture and window frames which he covers in
fabric and paints to create canvases. His subjects are often politically
radical and environmentally challenging.
He has a special fondness for wood and searches woodlands for interesting
shapes to make sculptures and mirrors.
He is a single parent of a son whom he adores.
