Patchwork Collective

About Me

The Patchwork Collective was formed with the purpose of creating a community of musicians and artists who devote themselves singularly to creativity and innovation. We seek to provide enriching experiences for any who take an interest in artists who embody those ideals. We seek to eliminate all that limits the scope of a musician’s influence and the diversity of the listener’s palate. Our desire is to aid the community’s ability to support a functioning eclectic scene comprised of artists and listeners who retain artistic integrity--something we believe Richmond wants, needs, and has the potential for.
Our main focus is to promote genre-integrated shows which will serve not only as some of the best, most fresh, defiantly non-traditional performances in Richmond, but as a subtle yet powerful educational tool for the listener. This education may be largely unnoticed--those attending a Patchwork show will initially be interested only in the band they are associated with through genre, and yet with an open mind will receive exposure to previously unexplored music genres. Eventually, other art mediums will be incorporated, as Patchwork will provide space for art openings, film screenings--anything creative and fresh.
