Archipeligo located in the Atlantic, 150 miles off the coast of Senegal. We were discovered by the Portuguese in the late 1400's and used as a stop off point in the triangle of trade between Europe, Africa, and the New World. My people are a mixture of African slaves brought to the islands as well as the many seafaring nations of the so-called Age of Discovery. (i.e. conquering and enslavement of indigenous peoples of the New World
