Lucas Godoy is a brazilian rock guitar player who started studying music at the age of 12. Since 2002, he is responsible for the insane and gummy riffs as well the wise and reasonable solos of the heavy metal band Thram, influenced by Pantera, Sevendust, Nevermore, Dream Theater, Halford etc. With its second and new album, Pictures of Reality, released on 2006, Thram is now a consolidated and mature band and is reaching day-by-day fans all over the world.
Lucas Godoy and Line 6 are partners since forever, but only in 2005 this “love†became a business issue and Lucas Godoy came to be the Brazilian Line 6 Product’s Specialist. Since that, people could watch and learn about PODs and crazy simulation stuff with workshops all over Brazil. People can actually understand the vibe between Lucas and Line 6 at Thram’s soundcheck: “Could you please mic these two cabinets… and… don’t forget about my balanced line outputs… and… don’t forget to pan them on the PA… and… an extra channel for my acoustic sounds from my Variax… and…â€
The year of 2007 was the time to tour with the new album (playing with Nevermore, Sepultura etc.) and start composing new material. Many of the non-Thram sounds written through this year will be transformed into Lucas Godoy’s first solo album. The album is going to be recorded on 2008 and extra high quality guests may be expected.
