It was the summer of 2002 when Dimos a car engineer and Despoina a pharmacist and amateur singer got together to “make some music”, as Dimos used to say. The experiment was successful and LOVELAB began to compose their songs in a home made studio in Thessaloniki. Soon, the duet became a trio with the arrival of John, a musician, pianist and piano teacher. By the year 2004 LOVELAB performed live, gaining friends and fans. To complete the variety of arts a science, a civil engineer came along with the sweet sound of the trumpet. Kostas, a professional performer with great experience in live shows, completed the band and richened its electronic profile with a special sound. Today, LOVELAB perform all around Greece (for the time being!) with two new friends, Stefanos (bass) and Ino (vocals). LOVELAB have participated in the compilation ‘One Nation 2’ (Klik records 2006) with the track ‘Blue Moon’ and in ‘Fena’s Shop Listening’ (Groovy Garden 2007) with ‘Nothing’. This summer LOVELAB are releasing their first album while they continue making music and friends. And so the story goes…..
