if you haven't figured it out from the name, I'm Andrew Piro, the guitarist so diabolical Satan sold his soul to me (for a lesson in sweep-picking). also, I'm in a death metal band called Evangelist playing bass. right now this is space is my personal site, and home to my various little pet projects.
I never use this blog because I already have a LiveJournal , because I'm far too interesting for just one obnoxious online community.
Look at the Birds was written by Aslan Rife, who may well be both the best vocalist and songwriter I know personally. Aslan also sang lead and backup and played drums, the center rhythm guitar, and the left guitar solo. Shane O'Connell played the right guitar solo and also sang and helped engineer, Dana Hench played trombone, Mike Clauss played upright bass and sang, Wes Hiserman played harmonica, I played the two backup rhythm guitars and the center guitar solo and sang and produced and engineered and mixed, Brian Sturm sang and engineered, and Scott Bowen beatboxed and engineered for parts of the song that aren't on this version.
Jesus Christ Superzombie was written by Mike Clauss, also a gifted songwriter, who played all the guitars and bass. Andy Pease, doubtlessly the best drummer I know personally, drummed. I played the chimes and produced and engineered and mixed. Soren Hixenbaum also engineered, and James Nielsen provided some artwork, although it's not on this page (the zombie Jesus was my doing, I'm afraid).
Goblins is a crappy recording of a crappy performance of a decent song that I wrote for my old band, Gnome. at the beginning of the song I'm playing bass and Mike Clauss is on guitar, and we trade during the drum solo. Evan MacGuire, aka MC Dontgiveafuck, spitting rhymes like Linda Blair spitting pea soup, was our drummer.
