OneCypher.Com is an online magazine dedicated to supporting, promoting and educating the Hip Hop and underground art community. One Cypher launched in December of 2003, and has been a work in progress for over two years. 50 interviews, 20 event commentaries, various directories and 17 features later, we are pleased to have users from locations such as France, Japan, Poland, Switzerland, Trinidad, Romania, the United Kingdom, Australia, the United States and beyond.
One Cypher gives a voice to up and coming talent, as well as recognizing established talent for their contributions to the community. It's become an educational resource for those hungery to learn about music and art history, a vital resource for those interested in becoming involved, and forum for the community to speak their minds, promote events and promote themselves for booking purposes.
One Cypher reaches out to a wide target audience. Our audience is the dj, dancer, artist, beatboxer, poet, mc, clothing creators, record junkie, producer, and those interested in getting involved in this evolving culture. Our interviews has expanded to include talent from all genres of music. We are pleased to give exposure to such extraordinary talent.
One Cypher has thrown three successful parties in both Los Angeles and the Bay Area. Our entertainment consisted of a variety of talent such as dance crews Jabbawockkeez, World Famous and Nu-Origin. Band Philtered Soul. Freestylers Super Dave and Affion of the Groovaloos, emcee crew A.R.E, poet/beatboxer/dj collaboration crew Non Descript, and Beatboxer Joshua Silverstein. Dj’s such as J Boogie, house Dj Jayvi Velasco, Dj Jedi, Fuse One, Chris the Rebel amongst others were blessin’ the tables. All three parties were sold out and/or attracted an exceptional crowd.
One Cypher is a positive resource at which all can benefit. Our vision is to provide fellow music and art supporters with motivational and educational resources that intertwine, preserve and continuously lay the foundation for generations to come. Much love and respect.
