LoneWolf fell in love with music at the age of three inspired by John Lennon and started playing guitar at the age of 13 where the guitar quickly became an attachment to him. His guitar was taken everywhere using his imagination about what was happening around him writing songs that people can relate to. He began writing songs at the age of 16 with a high school friend and wrote his first song traveling on a bus, being on a journey and to be free named "Nowhere State of Mind". LoneWolf is a musical communicator with enthusiasm to have his music heard and performed worldwide and released his first single and album in January of 2006. His first live solo gig in 1981 was at a hospital fund raiser which was a huge success when he was 20 years old. From 1984 – 1989, LoneWolf was touring Australia with a band known as "The Glass Cannons". He toured with The Glass Cannons who were a cover band performing original material and supported both international and local headlines for bands like Suzi Quatro, Wendy Mathews, The Party Boys, The Chantoozies, Big Pig and many more. After five years of touring with the band, LoneWolf disbanded the Cannons to pursue his own solo career, Americana. LoneWolf’s identity manifested as a result of doing things his way. His determination for a certain sound evolved through constant touring and performance throughout Australia. LoneWolf was established in 1996 after buying a small night club called Venue 1 which was located in a suburb of the Central Coast of New South Wales called The Entrance. His club was located in a very popular area for tourists and locals who gave LoneWolf the opportunity to perform and showcase his talent. It was that time that he found the Rock/Acoustic/Americana sound he was striving to achieve. He successfully established the first Central Coast Sunday Night Unplugged session hosting local musicians, singers and performers sharing passion and a music base where the songs were performed and honed meticulously in the fires of Acoustic live performances. During this time he recorded an acoustic five track EP and sold over 1,000 copies on the coast of New South Wales alone. In 2005, LoneWolf toured the United States of America and met many music industry professionals, such as, Americana legend Arthur Godfrey. With the likening of Godfrey, LoneWolf’s songs are journey songs keeping them real so that the listener will know what the track is about by relating the song to their own lives. He recorded his single in Germany in 2006 with an independent record company named Songhouse International and became the company’s first international artist signed. His single earned radio airplay in Germany, France and Belgium. Dave Russell the owner and operator of Skylab Studio introduced LoneWolf to some of the leading session musicians in Sydney, Australia to help complete the recording of the tapestry that is the LoneWolf album "Force of Nature". It was October 2007 at XRQK in Lancaster, CA, program director Steve Webb became impressed with the LoneWolf sound promoting LoneWolf’s new album to 400 stations worldwide. With an Australian background LoneWolf brings a fresh approach to the Rock/Acoustic/Americana fans. Although his music has been likened to a young Bruce Springsteen and Bob Seger, LoneWolf brings his own unique sound to this genre of music. LoneWolf’s CD with 14 original songs named, Lawrence Baker LoneWolf - Force of Nature can be heard and bought and has a two track European single named As The Crow Flys.
After Performing in the USA, in Seattle, Washington for the Christmas Holiday Festivities, December 2007, The 'LoneWolf' returned to Australia in mid January 2008, due to unexpected business committments. This has Temporarily changed his plans for the Recording of the NEW CD Album in Nashville that was slated in for May/ June, 2008...and the U.S. Tour surrounding that schedule. Instead however, this change of plans will now see Lawrence Baker, 'LoneWolf' Performing 'LIVE' around his home City, Sydney. Solo, Duo & Trio Gigs have been booked for the main part of the year, so far, until the business situation that occured is dealt with and finalised.
