About Me
Winner of Screen Nations Best Kids and Youth Presenter 2004, Leah Charles is currently a host for the internationally reknown Black Entertainment Television Network (BET) in both the USA, Caribbean and UK. She has over the years interviewed a wide range of prolific musical stars some of which including John Legend, Snoop Dog, Yolanda Adams, Jermaine Dupri, Freddie Jackson, George Benson and Nicole Scherzinger (PCD) to name but a few. Her most recent venture saw her host a behind the scenes and red carpet show for the BET Awards which was held in Los Angeles, USA June 2007.
Multitasking between international music appointments such as the St. Lucia Jazz Festival and the BET Awards. Leah has also shown her diverse talents within a slightly different arena of television by being a game show presenter for BIG GAME TV on Sky Digital.
PREVIOUS WORK
Prior to working with BET she was part of the main presenting team on the Disney Channel for Studio Disney. Where she gained the winner of the Nations Best Kids and Youth TV Presenter Award.

Leah is a highly talented presenter making breakthroughs in the industry having been the first black female and main presenter on CITV (in its 20 year history) and The White Knuckle Tour Summer Road shows, she has a huge amount of live television experience, including interviewing bands and TV stars. Leah is just as at home on radio and has presented on French Connections Radio Station FCUK FM. She is very diverse not only doing celebrity interviews, music reports, presenting childrens tv but in addition has also appeared as a reporter on Record of the Year and Junior Eurovision for ITV1.
Her listings of acheivements is endless, having appeared on Liquid News giving her views on the latest topical issues and showbiz stories, to previously working with Sky Digital on Whereits.at.
Prior to her presenting years, Leah was no stranger to the big screen and music. She was an avid musician and had 10 years of music industry experience. She was a member of the 90's in RnB pop band Kleshay for ten years, enjoying regular chart success including top 20 hits, UK tours and 2 popular music videos. She appeared with the band and was interviewed on a variety of programmes ranging from MTV, CD:UK, T4 to The Big Breakfast, This Morning and London Today.
Leah has been featured regularly in UK biggest selling magazines OK! Magazine, Pride, SHE Caribbean, New Nation and many more, and has also taken part in extensive radio tours for Kiss FM, Choice FM, Capital FM and Radio One.
Her vast skills and musical talent have bridged accross performance/media industry and have seen her support in concert and also been a backing vocalist for artists such as Lionel Ritchie, George Michael and Andreas Bocelli to name a few.
In 2005, Leah launched "Women With a Purpose", a charity organisation for women. "WWP" was set up to empower, inspire and to faciltitate women across the UK to reach their ultimate potential- and since its launch in september 2005 the response has been phenomenal.
Leah is a very down to earth, bubbly and engaging individual that enjoys to travel and meet new people. Media, Performing Arts, Entertainment, Music and dance are her passions, she is a woman of virtue and integrity and above all a natural destined for TV stardom!
