Barrington

Hi my name is Barrington Levene.I am an aspring singer musician, songwriter and producer based in South London.I was born in Kingston,Jamaica and came to England when i was aged 9.I attended school in Oval and Kennington right up to secondary.My love for music started at a young primary school age.Whilst my sense of rythmn was developing on percussion instruments including my desk i became popular at school.I made new friends who felt my energy through tapping with pencils or just about anything i could get my hands on.At high school I learnd to read music and was the lead Tuba (bassist )in the school orchestra .Zacharias Hurbert,our school steel band teacher heard me play drums one morning in my drum lesson and asked me to join the steel band.I continued playing drums after leaving school playing seven years straight in the Notting Hill carnival with popular steelbands like LAS(London Allstars) and more.I joined a band Called(The Government ) that was formed by that famous band Matumbi a number 1 reggae band that was signed to EMI back in the day.I collaborated with artists like Victor Romero who i first started to sing harmonies on songs like I Need A Girl and AT THE CLUB.Along with the Queen of lovers rock Janet K, we recorded an album to coincide with a play written by Channel 4's Farruch Dohndy and Charlie Hanson and the television series No problem.
