Born and raised in Central Queensland Beef town, Rockhampton before relocating to Brisbane, Queensland in 2001.
He studyed primarily under Jeremy Borthwick (Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University 2002 - 2005) in Brisbane, Qld. During his time studying and since graduating he has worked regularly with many different bands. This has included small jazz groups from duo to big band. As well as jazz he has a passion for latin music and has been an active member of Brisbane salsa band Chukale. As well as jazz and latin music he has been a highly sought after sideman and session musician in many different genres. As well as performance he has been working as an educator in Brisbane schools.
