W2 was formed as a 100% U2-tribute band in 2005 after the huge success in Sweden rock tribute band competition "Battle of the tribute bands" in 2005. W2 qualified to the finals as one of five out of 150 at Sweden rock festival in june 2005.
In 2006 W2 qualified to the final again.
W2 are dedicated fans of U2 since the early 80:s, and we try to perform every U2 song with as much passion as the original.
