Da Circle Boyz(DcB) was founded in East Point,Ga in the projects of Washington Circle by:Yharmin Terrell(Zeus Da Kidd),Jharmin Terrell(Trill Kidd),Gary Long(Fli DaKidd),and Ronnie Harris(Ray Be The Kidd) in 2005. Local rapper/close friend Michael Howard(Kidd Star) was soon added to the dCb family because of his strong lyrics and amazing freestyle capabilities. Then after the group was introduced to Star’s Aunt Geraldine Howard(Byrd) they started to do local shows and perform at house parties. Byrd then started paying for recordings, transportation, and needed material for performances. But,a year later things turned sour and went downhill with the management.
So dCb stood on their own feet and managed themselves. The group continued their efforts by throwing their own parties, passing out their music at Tri-Cities High School(in which they all attended),and making their own dCb based outfits. As time passed being out on their own limb proved to be quite the task, booking shows at 21 and older clubs where all the listeners who meant something were at seemed virtually impossible to do. Also, finding a good inexpensive composer for mixing and mastering their music, getting transportation to book and perform their shows, and spreading their music throughout Atlanta w/o a street team. Soon after the loss of Management,in 2007 the group heard that Gorilla Zoë a former East Point resident was doing album release promotions at Athletes Foot across the street from the West end Mall.
Two of dCb’s artist who weren’t busy(FLi and Star) rushed to the scene in hopes of meeting Zoë. At first, they had no luck but just as they were leaving they spotted him approached and conversed with the rapper. He was talking good business at first, but the group later came to find that Zoë was playing, So the group stop believing and calling him all together. But,even through the struggle dCb is still working harder than ever and writing new music in hopes of forcing their way into the industry.
Currently its 2009 and the team is stronger then ever, the name changed from dCb to No Kiddin in late 2008 for a more industry kind of feel, and also it sends a message of being serious whenever work is to be done. Presently, the group is still unsigned, and self-managed. Each member has the heart and soul of a fighter and will continue pushing on their journey into the rap industry. It hasn't been easy, and after seriously trying for years most people would've gave up. But,obviously their not MOST PEOPLE!!!
