My motto is slowly but surely. I always thought that my totem should be a turtle, but I'm not sure how a totem gets assigned to people. I think in a past life I was a magpie because I love to collect various things that tickle my fancy. Living in Mississippi for the past 10 years has changed my life for the better (who'd a thunk it) because I have met the most talented, gifted, intelligent, wonderful, loyal, creative set of friends anyone could ask for. There is finally a light at the end of my tunnel. My degree is just around the corner with my career just a hop a skip and a jump away. I believe that "life should not be measured by how many breaths you take, it should be measured by how many moments take your breath away". I am easily amused and enjoy the little things in life. I am an admirer of art and am addicted to beauty whether it be in nature or spatial positioning, colors that work well together, animate/inanimate sundry things, or a well put together story or poem. I am in the process of perpetual self improvement. I would like to be enlightened someday. I tend to be contradictory in the way I approach certain situations or in the way I carry myself;for example, I am shy in certain situations and yet outspoken in others. I live in the country with a swamp for a backyard and the nearest neighbor is farther than shouting distance. It's tranquility is transforming me I believe. I can't wait to be a science teacher and get kids interested in this magnificent universe and be their guide to the many wonders the world possesses. I will use my teaching career to fund my many travels. I will eventually see the whole world little by little.I have been humbled by the Grand Canyon when I visited it 2 summers ago, and encourage all people to travel as much as they can when they have a chance. I know that having a good disposition carries one far and a smile is as infectious as laughter. I don't take myself too seriously, even if I can be dramatic at times. I have an addictive personality- my addictions change throughout the year- but then again I am working on it. I don't believe in giving up on pursuing a dream. I have been a daydreamer all my life but I look behind me on the road I have traversed and can only smile. I look forward to tomorrow and the many gifts that it will bestow on me.
